這是三數年前做的一首合唱詩粵譯，因當年的一些計劃，一直沒有發表過，現在貼出來，做個記錄。這些年來，只覺自己對翻譯以創造為題材的詩歌比較得心應手，也做得比較多，這首也是我做粵譯以來最滿意的作品之一。

翻譯國語詩歌往往比翻譯英文詩歌更難，海牛的同事菲臘擅長為它們重寫新的粵詞，產量倒不少，月前見他在臉書群組上貼出這首，我一時興起，便試著另做一個粵譯的版本。

上主日，公理堂日堂詩班獻唱了John Rutter作品Look to the Day，在崇拜單張中夾附了歌詞及其中譯文（不能唱的，亦恕我認為那翻譯偏離了原來的詞意）。我以為可以比中譯文做多一點，就是若能把歌詞翻成合粵韻的中詞，那就更好了。主日前，我已把頭兩節翻了，並貼了在個人臉書上，今兒終把四節都完成了：

此短詩的旋律有多個版本，我是參考下面這個：

兩個多月沒有譯過詩歌，是時候要復出喇！一來就要向難度挑戰！一直都很想重譯《恩光歌》，只覺這首兒童詩歌的旋律和節奏其實可以編成很rock的，唱起來蠻有勁。但要把dssssdrdtt這首句填得協音，實在超難！卒之弄了這個出來，略嫌文皺皺，但幾已耗盡海牛微末的功力。

《Lord, Speak to Me, that I May Speak》是Fran­ces R. Ha­ver­gal的詞作，共七節，普天頌讚收編為《宣教歌》（321），調用HOLLEY，到了譚氏主導編修新普頌，便把此歌配了另一調EISENACH，並重新翻譯成《求主使用差遣》（526），只選了其中五節（1, 2, 4, 6 & 7），可惜此新譯詞不但沒有解決歌詞不恊粵音的老問題（實情是劇化了問題），譯詞也嫌偏離原詞意思太多。上主日是公理堂的差傳主日，崇拜選了此新譯版本作回應詩歌，不知道各位堂內兄姊唱來有何感覺。我就按EISENACH的調子，做了另一個譯本如下（七節齊）：

月前，姊妹邀我為昨天公理堂的差傳主日日堂詩班所獻唱的詩歌做譯詞，曲目是Mark Weston的《Lord, Here Am I》，英文歌詞改編自Fanny Crosby的詞。

昨早，特地列席了詩班的最後排練，閉目聽著，一幕幕感人的記憶於腦海浮現，教我感動不已，而透過指揮和詩班員練習時的對話，也令我這個音樂門外漢對翻譯合唱詩的功課有了進一步的領會，縱沒機會在正式獻唱時聽到，卻已教我受用良多。
