這儈炙人口的短詩，坊間已有不少中譯或中詞版本，也有好幾首出色的粵韻詞（http://cantonhymn.wikispaces.com/You+Are+My+Hiding+Place），但靈感既來到，我也寫一個海牛的版本。

年初已著手翻譯John Rutter另一首耳熟能詳的作品：Look at the World，但一直填不好第四節的歌詞，擱置了多月，日前再嘗試，並參考了本地另一翻譯版本：劉永生先生的《觀看宇宙》，終告勉強完成： 繼續閱讀 →

還是一月，還算是歲首，還未過立約主日，所以仍是立願的日子。常人總愛在歲首許願立願，儘管所許所立的年年如是，早已成為陳腔濫調。

弟兄在Facebook問及我為《For the Beauty of the Earth》和《Share Your Faith》所譯的中詞，才省起原來我還沒發表過前者的中譯詞，只曾在去年初作成後，以電郵寄過給數位教牧同工過目，並只得到一個簡短的回應，更忘了為它起個中文歌名……姑且參考英文原曲暫以首句作題…… 繼續閱讀 →

不知有否記錯，《天父世界歌》大概是我第一首學唱的聖詩，大大話都已經是三十多年前了。內子不只一次表示過，不明白何以我會在婚禮上選唱這首歌，原因不就是我很喜歡它囉！唱了三十多接近四十年這首歌，其中文歌詞發音的彆扭，當然早已習慣了，但每當跟英文原文對照，便不得不慨歎譯詞的缺陷。我始終以為那一個「my」字乃全首歌的精髓，然而不論那一個中文譯詞版本，都只沿用「這是天父世界」，而非「這是我父世界」，可能因為用「我」字的音轉（屙？！）實在彆扭得過份，又或是因為中文沒有大小階之分，故特別要以「天」父來跟地上的父親區分，但音節所限，「我」字便得讓位好了。 繼續閱讀 →

公理堂終於開始了第一次的青少年崇拜，我這個始作俑者之一竟無法出席見證，有點兒遺憾。

青少年崇拜其中一個頗惹教會中人關注的地方在於其使用的音樂。

傳統的基督教詩歌多是來自歐美；要用在華人教會的敬拜中，便得翻成中文，然而翻譯的詩歌多以普通話／國語發音為據，當唱成粵語，因著廣東話發音的特性，多會變成怪音／歪音，聽者不明，唱者懨悶，尤其是香港較年青的一代，被粵語流行曲養大的，就更難投入。 繼續閱讀 →
