連日來在不少弟兄姊妹的電郵或網誌分享中，都看到對電影《魔幻王國》的高度評價。我早於一星期前便看了這齣電影，坦白說，我不覺得它如想像中的精采。因我從沒看過原著小說，只能以戲論戲，我但覺它的故事發展過於直線，人性刻劃也不夠深，根本難以與《魔戒》系列相比，（有姊妹說它比《魔戒》好看，海牛不敢苟同），撇開基督教理的隱喻這一點，整套戲只能說是好一套特技電影而已。記得當獅子王和白女巫傾掂數後獨自上山的一幕，內子問我知否獅子王會去哪，我已可肯定地回答她：「去死！」一切都在意料之中（包括獅子王復活那幕），沒有驚喜，所以也不覺特別好看。有時，我們或許真的需要學會輕輕抽離自己的基督徒身份來看事物……

I agree the story line is very straight forward and if you know the “lion” is supposed to symbolise Christ then yes everything seems so predictable. The CG and plot are no comparison to the Lord of the Ring. But, I do find the relationship between the siblings fairly touching and the little sister is so adorable. I have heard the books are really good. Maybe I should find time to read them.
這個本來就是一個給小朋友看的故事，大人看難免沒有驚喜。
